Love Child

December 22, 2020

Julie Jablonski

Starlight

On a silent night

Piercing the dark

Lighting a path

To where wonder lies

Sleeping

Breathing

Heart-beating love, love, love

For God so loved

Extravagantly

Magnificently

Loved

That He gave

Himself

Wrapped Himself

Small enough

To be held

To behold

His glory

In the face

Of a child

For God so loved the world

that he gave his one and only Son,

that whoever believes in him

shall not perish but have eternal life.

– John 3:16

The Word became flesh

and made his dwelling among us.

We have seen his glory,

the glory of the one and only Son,

who came from the Father,

full of grace and truth.

– John 1:14

  1. Beautiful, Julie. I’m not sure how the mind makes connections, but as I took in the fullness of the blues in this study, and the airy, floral subjects , They conjured heaven descending, angels watching…glory coming full, rich and powerful in its silence. Thanks for sharing your gifts…all of them!

  2. Sarah Tisdale says:

Oh come let us adore this love child. 🙂

  3. Julie Jablonski says:

Thank you for sharing these beautiful images that came to your mind, Denise. It’s always amazing to me how a photograph or a few words strung together are able, for just a moment, to take us to another realm. So glad this did that for you. Bless you!

  4. Julie Jablonski says:

Oh, yes! Let’s, Sarah. For He alone is worthy. A blessed Christmas to you. 😊
