Sheila Vamplin
S
heila Vamplin learned early to love God through words, music, nature, and people. Her English degree, piano study, and choral singing somehow led her to Italy and then to Croatia.
Landing back in the U.S. after three years of war, she earned a counseling degree and later a Doctor of Ministry specializing in spiritual formation. Sheila teaches piano and has sung with the Memphis Chamber Choir and the Rhodes Mastersingers Chorale. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and certified spiritual director, she has a heart for artists as well as for spiritual "artists"--people using their gifts in ministry and missions.
She loves the poetic works of Gerard Manley Hopkins. In life and in writing, she endeavors to follow Him in seeing God’s grandeur in the midst of the “terrible sonnets” of life. She and her husband currently divide their time between homes in Croatia and Memphis.
